Life in New York is even more surprising as an actress, and even more surprising that you can look for a job as an actress even in days when all theaters are closed. So it turns out that on the online actors' websites you can go on and do video auditions and find out how many options are still available for you... so many offers are opened to you even when everything’s closed.
I took very hard the theater closing thing, because I couldn't go out for auditions anymore, but I found solace in technology.

And today I wanted to write here about a video audition I did to a commercial for a website that publishes the creation of personal posters costumed made. I didn't imagine what I'd get when I got it. I got accepted into a commercial for that website, and they sent me home a huge picture with a poster of me. Huge!
The thing with this site is that the customer orders a customized poster in which he is the character stars in the movie poster, and then as the actress publishing this site I got a poster like that myself.
How good to be surprised in surprising New York City that produces work for actors even during unemployment periods....

עוד יותר מפתיעים החיים בניו-יורק כשחקנית,
ועוד יותר מפתיע שעדיין אפשר לחפש עבודה כשחקנית בניו יורק בימי סגר התאטראות.
אז מסתבר שעל גבי אתרי השחקנים באינטרנט
אפשר להמשיך ולעשות אודישנים מצולמים, ומפליא כמה עבודות אפשר להציע פה, וכמה אופציות פתוחות בפנייך, אפילו כשהכל סגור.
אני לקחתי מאוד קשה את עניין סגירת התאטרון, כי לא יכולתי לצאת יותר לאודישנים, אבל לאט לאט מצאתי נחמה בטכנולוגיה. וכך נכנס הזום לחיי...
וכך התחלתי לצלם אודישנים קצרים בבית, לפירסומות וסרטי סטודנטים, כי תאטרון אין.
והיום רציתי לכתוב פה על אודישן מצולם שעשיתי לפרסומת לאתר שמפרסם יצירת פוסטרים אישיים בהתאמה אישית.
לא שיערתי לעצמי מה אקבל כשאתקבל.
התקבלתי לפרסומת, ושלחו לי הביתה תמונת ענק עם פוסטר שלי שאותו אני מפרסמת.
מטורף!
הקטע באתר הוא שהלקוח מזמין פוסטר בהתאמה אישית, כשהוא הדמות המצולמת בפוסטר של סרט קולנוע.
ואז בתור השחקנית שמפרסמת את האתר הזה, קבלתי פוסטר כזה.
כמה טוב להיות מופתע בעיר ניו יורק המפתיעה שמייצרת עבודה לשחקנים גם בתקופות אבטלה...
